Server Allocation
Some players allocate chunks of your allocation to
each domain. For example some ISP's allocate you 5MB
per domain in your space. This would mean for
argument's sake that you could only host 10 domains
within a 50MB package. So your reseller should
understand that not all web sites are the same size,
some may be under 1MB or others may be over 20MB.
For this reason it (your reseller) should not
dispense your space in chunks, instead it should
simply set an upload (quota) limit on your account
to only allow you to upload up to your limit. This
means that for example if each of your domains were
under 1MB, in say a 50MB package you could fit at
least 50 hosted domains. Parked (reserved),
Forwarded (ie:redirection to another domain), and
Aliased (ie: abc.co.uk shows the same website as
abc.com) domains do not take up any space, so be
awrae when they say Unlimited domains they should
really mean Unlimited domains only.
Email Facilities
As with space your reseller should not allocate set
amounts of POP3 accounts to each domain you host,
instead it can simply simply set you a quota limit,
which can be easily increased at a later date. With
each package you get Unlimited Autoresponders.
Autoresponders can be setup to automatically
distribute information to your customers or simply
notify them when you will return from holiday to
answer their emails. With your Virtual Control Panel
(VCP) you can easily setup Unlimited Email
Forwarders. For example you could forward all email
addressed to sales@yourdomain.com to an external
Email address such as a personal Hotmail account.
FTP
With all the packages you should get Unlimited FTP
access. Reseller can not limit the amount of data
transferred in upload/download speed. Using your VCP
you can easily setup as many extra FTP accounts as
you like. You should also even can set quota limits
for each account. This is useful if you are letting
your customers upload data. This way you can be sure
they will not abuse your service.
PHP
UNIX based PHP enables you to produce professional
looking dynamic web pages, and are ideal for
creating e-commerce or database driven based web
sites. PHP offers excellent connectivity with MySQL
databases.

ASP & CDO
All our Windows based servers are generally equipped
with full Active Server Pages (ASP) support with a
CDO object support. ASP is a similar concept to PHP
extensions for UNIX. Its ability to hold state
between web pages by way of its application &
session objects enables complex shopping carts and
customer preferences to be stored to memory
throughout your web site. All Windows servers come
with the very latest ODBC drivers for DSN-less
connections to popular databases such as Microsoft
Access databases.
MySQL Databases
Your reseller's servers, both UNIX and Windows based
should come equipped with full support for MySQL
databases. MySQL is a popular choice with the
customers worldwide due to it's excellent speed and
efficiency. MySQL administration facility generally
enables easy creation of relational SQL databases.
And because it runs as an independent server
facility external to your space it can easily bridge
the server OS gap. For example customers can then

based on a Windows package and other sites based on
a UNIX package sharing data from a MySQL database

(Common Gateway Interface) capabilities. Perl/CGI is
the original and in some opinions still the best
language for web applications. Using it's DBI module
makes database connectivity simple which enables
free scripts available throughout the Internet, and
included within your VCP is the ability to install

based counter system and various web form to email
scripts.
